Movie Poster, 24" x 36"
Designed to best convey the meaning and metaphor of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet. Influenced by Dadaism, the poster aesthetic is aimed to resemble Lynch’s surreal cinematic style. The poster foreshadows the seedy underworld Jeffery is about to discover in his perfect suburban town with the use of original collage and photography. The peeling of a white picket fence, which reveals a swarm of cockroaches, corresponds with the symbolism used heavily in Blue Velvet.
